ADvTECH, on behalf of Pecanwood College, authorised Pure Care to build a Water Treatment System. The challenge for the Water Treatment System was to reduce the extremely high hardness in the source water extracted from the existing boreholes. Pure Care was successful in implementing the Water Treatment Plant solution during the period from September to November 2024. The solution was able to meet the potable water quality SANS 241 standards for the entire College operation including the multiple boarding houses.

About the Water Treatment System:

The system was designed by Pure Care based on the water sample results from the source water supplied from the existing boreholes. The filtration system comprises media filtration, micron filtration, Reverse Osmosis, chlorine, and pH balancing. The system is fully automated.  Pure Care provided training to maintenance staff to maintain the system. Pure Care tests the processed water monthly to ensure SANS 241 standards are met. The project included civil works, refurbishment of a plant room, and an additional 142kl Reservoir storage tank.

Benefits:

Excellent potable quality water along with calculated water storage to meet all peak demand situations.
